Background of the Study

Financial planning is an essential element in managing any business, particularly in the banking sector, where financial stability and efficient resource allocation are pivotal to success. Access Bank Plc, one of Nigeria’s largest commercial banks, has implemented various financial planning strategies to ensure its continued growth and profitability. Financial planning within Access Bank focuses on ensuring the bank’s resources are allocated effectively, managing financial risks, and meeting both short-term and long-term objectives. The bank’s financial planning processes include budget forecasting, investment strategies, liquidity management, and capital allocation (Ogunleye & Adebayo, 2023).

The banking sector in Bauchi State, where Access Bank Plc operates, presents unique challenges and opportunities in terms of customer engagement, market competition, and economic conditions.
